Looking Back at bauma 2025 - Innovation Meets Industry Expertise

A few weeks ago, it was time again: The bauma in Munich has once again shown why it is one of the most important meeting points of the construction and machinery industry worldwide. With approximately 600,000 visitors, the trade fair was a magnet for national and international players in the construction industry – including Raúl Comesaña Macias, Enrico Pollnick, and Filip Babijczuk from the BBF Group, who informed themselves on-site about current developments and innovations around construction machinery, construction vehicles, and construction equipment.
The atmosphere was characterized by optimism, progress, and exchange. The technologies presented impressively showed how dynamically the industry continues to develop.
A special thanks goes to Doka for the friendly reception and to Thomas Kühn, who provided exciting insights into the future of formwork technology. Topics such as digitalization, automation, and pre-assembly play an increasingly important role in structural engineering.
We also thank MTS Schrode AG for the informative conversation. In civil engineering, we at the BBF Group have been relying on solutions from the company for years and particularly appreciate the continuous, practice-oriented product innovations.
The visit to Trimble Inc. on the outdoor construction site was a real highlight: Here, among other things, an autonomous excavator was presented – a prototype that not only convinces through efficiency and safety but also specifically addresses the increasing shortage of skilled workers.
A special experience was also the ride with the 75 m high lifting platform from GERKEN GmbH. From there, not only was there a great view over the trade fair grounds and the city of Munich – the latest models from Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. and lifting machines from Merlo Global were also impressively showcased here.
We also thank Jörg Reißland from Layher for the exciting exchange and insights into current developments in scaffolding construction.
With great anticipation, we are already looking forward to the next bauma in three years and are curious about which technological advances will move the industry by then!
